Hydroelectric energy

Hydroelectric energy is energy mostly used for electricity and it is used when there is flowing water that usually come from a larger body of water flows downhill through a dam through the penstock until it reaches and turns the turbine which turns the the generator which is electric. So basically the flowing or moving water that has kinetic energy creates electricity to go through the transformer and deliver electricity. 2 advantages of this is that nothing burns so it is completely clean and that in our world we have water as an abundant natural resource. 2 disadvantages are that building the dams and technology are expensive and these dams block the fish from getting to the other side of the river and hurt water ecosystems so people had to build these special fish ladders so the fish can pass through.
